  • Hi Santiago,
this is a small misunderstanding. To answer your question we firstly need to clarify some parameter names.
    – Temporal Coherence: it’s the coherence calculated from the time series phase residues (the classic PSI parameter)
    – Synthetic Coherence: it will be removed. It was a simulation
    – Spatial Coherence: it’s the mean interferometric…[Read more]

  • Hello,
After finishing the processing and opening a new SarProz session , is it possible to re-plot the Histograms and Graphs of showing the Coherence (both before and after APS removal)??.

I have saved the Parameters and the Coherence in the Sparse Points Processing section, and then I’ve tried to map the Coer. First and Coer. Second in View…[Read more]

  • -local maxima extraction with range lobes suppression
-local maxima extraction with range and azimuth lobes suppression

these two options are useful for suppressing ghost targets generated by side lobes of the impulse response of the system (cardinal sine). in fact, side lobes could already be suppressed by filters used in the focusing process.…[Read more]

  • Hello d,

Normally I’ve created the mask with the ‘Local Maxima from Reflexivity’ option. Could you explain how the other options work for te Mask creation?

-local maxima extraction with range lobes suppression
-local maxima extraction with range and azimuth lobes suppression
-regular grid, spaced dS by dL

    thanks

in Such a case, I suggest you to read directly the data from the disk.
All parameters are written as matrixes SxL -float- (real or complex depending on the case).
you can use the function leggi included in the pcodes
    Data=leggi(FileName,S,L);
FileName is a string containing the name of the file with full path.
S and L are samples and lines.
    This…[Read more]

  • Hello Daniele,

When exporting a parameter in geotiff format, what I have been able to create is a file containing a color ramp (from 0 to 255) with the corresponding reference scale, but I would like to have the actual parametervalues in order to compare with outputs from another software. Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    Santiago

  • If you have more images, use them.
Using more images makes all statistical parameters more stable, and estimates are much more accurate.
If you are interested only in a given period of time, you will focus your attention there. But you have to use all images you can get.
You can e.g. use the ampl. stab. index estimated on many more images, get the…[Read more]

  • Hello,

I’ve been carrying out tests of PS-processing with a stack of 9 CSK images, selecting always the Sparse Points according to their amplitude Stability Index.

What I would like to know is whether with this approach the obtained results are reliable (the coherence I get both before and after APS removal is high), or if I should increase the…[Read more]

  • What Yuxiao says is partly not correct.
If the Doppler polynomial is precise, Sarproz does the job of resampling the image in the right way.
The problem is that those images highly probably do not have a reliable Doppler polynomial.
If this is the case, you will get lots of problems.
If on the contrary the Doppler polynomial is correct, you can…[Read more]

  • Hi Dora,

I strongly advise against using ERS-2 images after gyroscope failure. The reason is:

It is not as simple as you change the threshold for DC, the threshold are there for a reason: it is usually set between ±0.5*(doppler centroid frequency) to discard those images that might be aliased during resampling process in coresgistration process…[Read more]

  • Dear all,

I am processing a dataset of ERS-2 images acquired after the gyroscope failure and I increased the threshold for DC in order to have enough images for APS processing. Are there any processing options in the software I should use to deal with these images besides estimating the azimuth position?

    Best regards,
    Dora

    a. UW means unwrapped.
If you check it, the sw will try to read UW interferograms. Then, the multi-temporal processing (estimation of parameters) will work using Least Squares (instead of the maximization of the periodogram).

    b. Ext DEM means removing the external DEM from time series.

    c. the connections (temporal) coherence is calculated as…[Read more]

  • Hello Daniele,

After having a look at timo’s notes, and the manual, I was able to get very good results for displacement in my study area. I’m really very happy with the sw.

However I still need to clear out some points of the APS processing, since I need to write a report explaining the processing I’ve carried out:
    – In the processing…[Read more]

  • the title of this post is pretty misleading.
insar is relative, but it can still be accurate.
so, deformation trend, time series, cumulative displacement and any other insar product are RELATIVE to a reference point.
unless you know whether the ref. point is stable, your measurements will always be RELATIVE to it.
the true displacement value does…[Read more]

  • Indeed, you were right. Now that I’m working locally the mask loading works perfectly. Thanks!

  • Hi, Professor Daniele,

The cumulative displacement value in DBF file of result are relative to the reference point. But I don’t know the cumulative displacement of reference point. So the value isn’t accurate?

How to understand the value of cumulative displacement? Whether I should plus or minus a value to obtain the true displcement value?

    Thank you.

  • On the contrary, I believe the net disk is the major problem.
Can you check the network usage?
Or can you simply try to copy the dataset locally? Note that you do not need the SLC folder. So, I believe the rest of the folders should be quite small.
