it looks like darksky has changed its security protocol and this is conflicting with the default java options used to connect to the webpage. this is not affecting everybody, it depends on the used java version. we are searching for a workaround and we’ll keep you posted

periz replied to the topic Error in Set Orbit in the forum Sarproz Forum 4 years, 10 months ago
when u get an error, zip log and lasterror and attach them here
if you use the manage version module, u do not need to run main.exe
just follow the instructions https://sarproz.com/manual/manage_version.html -

if you would use the manage version module, it would tell you which version you are using

periz replied to the topic Using an External DEM in the forum Sarproz Forum 4 years, 10 months ago
what do you mean that you get the same result??
you DEM must be in geographic coordinates: make sure this is correct
then, to check if it is ok or not, plot it.
with the “DEM visualization” button u see the DEM in geographic coordinates, and u should notice 4 black crosses showing the position of the footprints of your sar dataset
then, in view…[Read more] -

It’s not necessary to choose a specific reference point for calculating the phase difference between two images. The zero phase can be arbitrary. However, a reference point is required to interpret the phase. So, you have this option in the view/export extended parameters module. We will add it later on also in the single interf processing module,…[Read more]

Hi Eva,
you are using the sw in a way we did not think of. Now (it’s an option we introduced about 8 months ago), you can remove the APS from interferograms (in the InSAR module) at the time of exporting your results (which means, after processing them). [in fact, this option is present also in the view/export extended parameters module] In other…[Read more] -

Hi Antig,
sun-synchronous near-polar orbits are almost parallel to the north-south direction. However, both when going up (ascending) and down (descending) the satellite path is slightly squinted to the west (as the earth rotates). if you draw this on a paper, and if you take the south direction as reference, u will see those angles (that you…[Read more] -

when I have a big dataset of 280 images, and want to process it in several subsets, can I coregister all 280 images one time, and then just select less images to form differenct subsets?
you can, it’s your option. Pros: all subsets will share the same master, so, pixels are directly comparable, you can merge/analyze results and have the full…[Read more]

Hi,
for some reasons it was not recorded if your dataset was ascending or descending.
We now added the possibility to manually fix this missing info.
Later today or tomorrow update again your sw with the last version.
follow these steps:
1. open the multi-sensor module
2. load the asce and desce TS objects.
3. if the pass is missing (3rd field)…[Read more] -

you are plotting them together, you are not decomposing them
please download the last version of the software and use the AD grid

Those values are not vertical, they are range displacement, which means, along the LOS, inclined w.r.t. the vertical.
Please read well the basic theory of SAR.
if you generate TS objects, you can load them in the multisensor module and combine them to estimate vertical and horizontal components
range movement can have opposite signs in asce/desce…[Read more] -

At the moment there are no distance learning courses.
We are working to set up a training school in Italy. We should be able to advertise a first course in 2020.
There should be a chance to have a course in Tehran though. We’ll let you know -

a full answer to your question would be long. this is what we teach in training courses (taking one would be very good for you. you can try to promote one in your university).
here a short answer:
1. as a default, estimate only height and linear deformation trend. keep the default range values
2. when the processing is done, study well figures and…[Read more] -

You are using the Sparse LS unwrapping algorithm. Probably you are using all available memory.
Please use the Task Manager windows application to see if you used all memory and/or if the Sarproz main application is running or not.
if you have resources issue, multilook your interferograms to save memory

In the attachment you see the difference between calculating the cum disp from the data or from the model (the drawing is made by hands, but the concept is that the smart filter results in a smoothing of the data).
We have chosen to calculate the cumulative displacement from the model. It’s a choice, that does not mean it’s the truth.
If you want…[Read more] - Load More
