Matlab 2014b is the version, Ubuntu Linux 64-bit is the OS. I tried to skip this step with automatically generated GCPs, but got additional troubles.

periz replied to the topic Importing user defined DEM in the forum Sarproz Forum 9 years, 3 months ago
hi Matus,
the DEM you are showing is clearly smaller than the area you are analyzing.
this is not a good situation, since you are analyzing points where the DEM is not defined.
Which DEM value do you want to assign to the points where the DEM is not defined?
Think about it and solve it using an external tool to manipulate your DEM.
Or otherwise…[Read more] -

Hi,
I have problem with importing precise DEM from LIDAR measurements:
Bad property value found.
Object Name: axes
Property Name: ‘XLim’
Values must be increasing and non-NaN.I’ve tried to produce TIFF file with different coordinate systems (WGS-84, UTM) and vertical datums, and I’ve checked that there are no data gaps or NaN values in…[Read more]

if you have problem with the data cursor tool, it’s a matlab problem.
which version of matlab do you have? which operating system? -

It turns out only on the not zoomed figure the cursor can be positioned. When zoom in, there will be an random deviation of the capture pixel position and the cursor position. The problems goes:

There is a problem of selection GCP in my test scenario. Problem lies the GCP can not be picked up by “date cursor” or ginput command in the reflection map. If use the “data cursor”, an random position is located. And ginput got no response.
Help me out, badly for the next step. -
periz replied to the topic TSX Stripmap data in the forum Sarproz Forum 9 years, 3 months ago
Sarproz ingests SLC (Single Look Complex) data.
You should check the TSX data sheet.
I am afraid you are ordering the wrong product (multi-looked) -

Hi cnuhyl,
the infos you are providing are too few to understand your case.
First of all, in the PSC selection there is also a sparsing operation applied (points are made sparser according to the DS and DL values). You should check it.
Secondly, I am wondering whether your overwrote the coherence file.
To understand better, I suggest you load the…[Read more] -

Hi
In First SPP analysis I select 570967 PS point.
In second APS analysis I select PS point with Temporal Coherence bigger than 0.7 and select 33392 PS point
In second SPP analysis I set the Temporal coherence equal 0,but only select 33392 PS point????
Why? The number of PS point is so small???More information in the attachment. Thank…[Read more]

Hello All,
I am about to order some TSX Stripmap data and I was wondering to check some items that you should define before ordering any image. Here I listed them as I thought it might be compatible with SARPROZ processing package:
1. Processing Level : L1B
2. Resolution Variant : Spatially Enhanced
3. Geocoded Incidence Angle Map: No

periz replied to the topic Failed to satisfy constraints for Composite construction in the forum Sarproz Forum 9 years, 4 months ago
Hi Matus,
if you are running 2 instances of Matlab together, one instance may have opened a pool of workers exhausting your resources.
So, if the second instance opens a spmd process, it will return an error because no resources are available.
You can solve this issue by halving the number of workers for both instances.
Say that you have totally…[Read more] -

periz replied to the topic MST in the forum Sarproz Forum 9 years, 4 months ago
If you are processing PS-like targets, use the star graph.
If you are dealing with distributed targets, it’s better to use a multi-master graph.
The MST is theoretically interesting, but practically it’s better to use more connections to stabilize the inversion.
If you use the (spatial) coherence as weight, it’s strongly suggested to use a…[Read more] -

Hi there’s one question.
I know that you advice against using MST connection in PS analysis all the time. Even when using QPS you suggested using star graph.
My question is that: is there any kind of circumstances, that using MST is preferred? Or, in other words, MST could possibly give a better result than star-graph?
I believe not, though..

periz replied to the topic velocity standard deviations in the forum Sarproz Forum 9 years, 4 months ago
Hi Ivana
at this moment this calculation is not published.
The std dev in the paper mentioned by you is a statistical quantity.
The one listed in the sarproz output is a value calculated for that single time series.
The point is: the solution of the estimation is found as the peak of the periodogram.
How sharp is the peak? If the movement is…[Read more] -

Hello Daniele,
I am getting slowly into it.
I understand there are two standard deviations – one evaluated from the coherence, using e.g. Colesanti 2003, and the other one evaluated here (can you recommend a paper where to read more?)
I understand it is a measure by which the variable (velocity, height) could change with no (significant) change…[Read more]

Hi Ivana,
some comments:
a. the standard deviation of the velocity is a measure of the peak width of the periodogram. It’s not a global parameter as the temporal coherence, it’s local (giving a view around the estimated parameter).
b. if it would simply be correlated to the coherence, it would not be useful. By already having the coherence, you…[Read more] -
