Thank you prof. Perissin, for clarification, now everything is clear to me.
The reason why I have date_1 in table is because I have loaded csv into QGIS and plotted it. Since in GIS same column name cannot exist twice, suffix _1 was added to second (fitted) value automatically by QGIS. In original .csv file everything is fine and without _1 at…[Read more] -

Not sure why you get date_1, can you paste an example here?
You should get the explanation in the first line of the csv file. Something like: “28 data entries plus 28 estimated movement entries ” and ” from 20081025 to 20091217 “.
This says that in the first series of dates you get the actual data, in the second series you get the model chosen to…[Read more] -

Hello prof. Perissin,
When I export processed data to CSV from time series module, (e.g. cumulative displacement), I can see that there are actually two dates and two values for the same point (latter is with _1 suffix). I suppose that those are components of cum. displacement, but can you please answer me which value stands for what (date &…[Read more]

Thank you for the quick reply.
So from what I understand flagging the Phase operation when exporting the Def. Trend is not correct? Because it is in the real domain?Thank you in advance,

The “Filter/Matrix visualization” function in “Scatter Plots” displays scattered data in matrix a form. In Matlab this is much faster rather than displaying scattered points directly. It basically consists in re-sampling your scattered data on a regular grid. This operation corresponds to a spatial filter. And you can actually apply a filter…[Read more]

Dear All,
In the Scatter Plots, Filter/matrix visualization there a box named Phase. Could i please have a better understanding of the filter applied on the output? Should it be applied?
Thank you in advance,

Hi Asterios,
the general answer is: you would need to take a Sarproz course, where we teach exactly this, that is, how to judge and improve your results without any prior knowledge.
More in detail, always start with the easiest and default approach: linear trend, automatic and default choices. The software extracts and suggest you numbers,…[Read more] -

Dear all ,
Since we have S1A and S1B over our heads every 6 days Interferometry has become an easy way to monitor the earth .
However, say you want to perform a Multi-temporal InSAR Procedure on an unknown area, just to check if something is happening, with no reference data to support you, or previous knowledge of the deformation pattern. How…[Read more]

Dear all,
we post here some news about recent updates.1. Wunderground has changed policies and it is not offering historical weather data as before anymore. We have implemented new functions to download data from darksky.net. Consider anyway that temporal and spatial coverage is not as before. Also the number of details can now be retrieved is…[Read more]

* standard: usual standard unwrapping method, pixel by pixel, it suffers the usual drawbacks of unwrapping in presence of noise. If you mask an interferogram and you have disconnected areas, it’s not going to connect them.
* sparse LS: it uses sparse points and Least Squares to connect unconnected areas and to solve the problem in presence of…[Read more] -

Hi,
I’d like to ask one question about unwrapping method, as it seems there’s no detailed description in the manual. What the 3 kinds of unwrapping method “standard”,”standard LS” and “standard LS LP” mean?
And how could I choose from them? do they have different cases in which behaves best?
Best regards,

With respect to question 3, the “previous points” you pointed to are points selected by e.g. Amplitude dispersion index in APS?
the GAR works with a graph previously processed by the APS. so “previous points” are the points that you import in GAR from the APS module
The points selected with star graph are PS points, and points selecte…

Hi Zoe,
theoretically, it should work. However, it’s not 100% tested, you might get some problems. If this happens, there is no need to redo all the job. You can just remove the images you want to discard from the dataset.txt file. Then it will work
