  • Dear Perissin,

First I processed with default (without using Ext.DEM) DEM, then I got GCP height as zero (Fig: Without Using Ext.DEM). After I used an Ext.DEM, then I got GCP height (Fig: With Ext.DEM) but it’s located at the out of selected study area (Master area) but inside the footprints. I continued the process, but the reflectivity map is…[Read more]

  • Can you be more specific about “you have tried with ext. DEM and it’s not working”? what did you do and what is not working? If you got errors, can you paste zipped lasterror.mat and log files?

  • Dear Perissin,

I tried with an external DEM but it’s not working. Could you please enable the option to give GCP height as manually?
How can I give values through “Force my pixel” option? because for my study area it’s very difficult to match the GCP point (Lat and Lon) with the sample and line in Reflectivity map.

    Regards,
    Bala

  • Thank you very much. periz.

The problem was solved. There was one empty radarsat-2 directory which caused the error.

    Thanks again!

  • both directories have no problems.
the sw searches for the file product.xml. if it is not found, it will give the message you reported above.
be aware that the directory you have to select in sarproz is the one containing (not contained!!) the SLC folder.
“Qarn16” and “qarntest” in your case

  • hi Bala,
the “force my pixel” option simply means that the software is not checking the probability that the pixel you selected is actually corresponding to a radar target. You can use it in the case of glaciers.
Here the problem is the external DEM. When you say that the height is zero, I assume that there is no SRTM in your area. Is it correct?…[Read more]

  • Hi periz

Please find attached two images, the first one id an example of the content of a directory that works in SARPROZ while the second is an example of a directory that causes the error mentioned above.

Thank you very much for your response.

  • narginchk has been introduced in Matlab 2011b
I guess then that you have an older Matlab
for compatibility issues we’ll remove those lines
for the moment you could overtake the problem by using a more recent version of matlab… can you?

  • can u please post the structure of your directory?
where is the product.xml located precisely?

  • While I am doing GCP selection through “Keep current orbits” sometimes it’s giving zero value for Ext. DEM height and When I am doing this step through “Ext. DEM” GCP point is selected from out of the study area. In both cases, geocoding is not done perfectly. Here, I can’t select pixel by using “Force my pixel” option because of I am working…[Read more]

  • Hi V,

For the data corruption part, it is a known issue. In sarproz we implemented several ways to detect corruption of SLC images. You should get warnings/errors if they are corrupted.

In the case where no warnings/errors were given, it is always helpful to check:

    (1) The JPGs of SLCs in EXT/yyyymmdd folders and in FITTED folders. If the…[Read more]

  • Hi Yuxiao,

I am using the newest version.
I solved my problem with co-registration. I’ve just realized that it was due to corrupted downloading of Sentinel images.

However, do you have some general recommendations or tips to get reliable results from Sentinel data processing (parameters and so on)?
I am doing processing Sentinel 1 data over…[Read more]

  • Hi

I have been trying to import (Get Contents) Radarsat-2 images in SARPROZ, however, I have been getting this message: Error in rsat_meta(): can not find RSAT xml file!

This issue only occurs for the Radarsat-2 images that (for some reason) do not include the file (product.kml), but the file (product.xml) is included in all Radarsat-2 image…[Read more]

  • Hi Jaroslav,

Yes and No. A few explanations:

    Yes Part:
    1. My experience is that spatial baseline is not a big problem for tops in general. Since (a) tops has such good control in its orbits precision & accuracy; (b) the baseline is usually quite small (within 200 meters in general). So geometric decorrelation is not really a big issue here.…[Read more]

  • Hi Yuxiao,
Doesn’t master choice influence co-registration process a lot? I have often noticed, that outcome may be significantly improved just by choosing right master.
Additionally, I’d like to ask about Sentinel master choice methodology. Usually, master is chosen such, that the dispersion of the perpendicular baseline is as low as possible,…[Read more]

  • There has been a minor update to S1 TOPS. Below is a list of the new updates.

    1. In the older versions, for the SLC folder, when there are two adjacent scenes that could be merged, the code will create a new “merge folder (that will end in SRPZ.MRGE)” that stores necessary new files. When coregistration finishes these merge folder will be…[Read more]

  • Hi Venera,

First of all, please make sure you are using the newest version.

Second, it would be helpful to check the coherence of the pair that shows this warning. The goal is to check that if the coherence of interferogram is indeed so bad that accurate subpixel coregistration could not be performed.

At last, it would be helpful if you pass…[Read more]
