if you would use the manage version module, it would tell you which version you are using

what do you mean that you get the same result??
you DEM must be in geographic coordinates: make sure this is correct
then, to check if it is ok or not, plot it.
with the “DEM visualization” button u see the DEM in geographic coordinates, and u should notice 4 black crosses showing the position of the footprints of your sar dataset

It’s not necessary to choose a specific reference point for calculating the phase difference between two images. The zero phase can be arbitrary. However, a reference point is required to interpret the phase. So, you have this option in the view/export extended parameters module.
