Dear all,
finally we are ready to announce the first online Sarproz training course.
The course will last 10 days, 4 hours per day and it will be split into 2 modules (1 week each): basic concepts (radar, SAR, InSAR) and advanced ones (Time Series, A-DinSAR).
The first edition will be given in November. Only a limited number of registrations will…[Read more] -

From your attachments, the best result is the linear one.
Few hints that work in general (but might not work in some particular cases):
1. when estimating the APS, better to focus on good scatterers, not affected by thermal or non-linear movement. so, using a linear model only is a good choice. you will include other more complex scatteters later…[Read more] -

Ho big is Your bridge. I it is less than km You may skip APS and use small area module

Hi All. I am working with a set 63 Sentinel-1A images (plus 1 Sentinel-1B image), ranging from 2015 to 2017, HH polarization, to detect seasonal deformation trends of bridges in Illinois. I have used the “smart = 5” option to monitor nonlinear deformations expected from the thermal effects on the bridges. Attached is a picture of the parameters…[Read more]

hi,
to become able to recognize correlated results or to spot possible problematic signals, you need training and experience. difficult to help you much with theoretical statements. we should look at your results together and then we could give you some suggestions.
however, here some general hints:
+ it is correct to check that the peaks of the…[Read more] -

Hi, I am having a difficult time understanding what to look for when evaluating the APS results and notice that in one of the comments above, correlation was one way of determining if the data looks incorrect. What exactly qualifies as correlation between DEM, vel/displ, integrated height etc.? After processing the data in the APS module, I…[Read more]

Thank you dr Perissin. It solved my problem. Now, I want to do phase unwrapping on the extracted phase values from binary files because the phase values are within the [-pi, pi] interval. How can I do this in Matlab?

radar data are complex, not real
so, firstly, u cannot read complex data from jpeg files, u have to read the binary files
secondly, u have to tell “leggi” that data are complex
u do this adding a flag, according to this syntax: https://www.sarproz.com/groups/sarproz-group/forum/topic/aps-processing-4/

Hello dr perissin
It may sound a silly question but I want to know how I should read my slc images in matlab using leggi. I have already subseted my data and did co-registration. When I use the leggi function to read the images in the FITTED folder, I get the following error: error using memmapfile/subsref (line 764)
A subscripting operation on…[Read more] -

Thank you for your reply Dr. Perissin. Could you please explain more about the steps to get the raw interferometric phase values (just topographically corrected) using the PSI method in Matlab (my data is the time series of sentinel-1 images). I had already done the PSI method in the compiled version of SARProz, but I am confused about how to…[Read more]

good that you found the solution. however, I do not suggest you to use the ampl xcorr as default. we’ll try to find out a way to use it only in case of failures.

I solved the problem myself.
the problem was in coregistration.Firstly I used “only orbits” mode for coregistration.
After analyse of Site.log the program had gave warning to that in coregistration has some thing wrong.I tried “Ampl Xcorr” mode for coregistration and it worked match better. No warnings, No Stripe
So in future I use “Ampl…[Read more]

I generated an interfereogram from two Sentinel-1 phase images. In the interefereogram (Burst_line.png) has clearly seen stright lines that match bursts stich lines. I would like to fix it. What are the tools in SarProz to fix this kind of problem. I use compiled version.
Thanks for answer

You may set in module “Insar params” appropriate settings
Do not filter and multilook interferograms check “Flattening” and “DEM remove”
save settings
genereate interfereograms in module “interferograms protsessing” -

Thank you for your reply.
I need to do topographic correction before extracting phase values. The phases should mostly contain atmospheric and displacement phases. How should I do topographic correction in Matlab?

hi,
1. if you want to work on data in the way you describe, you should use matlab.
2. to read data in sarproz (in matlab), you can use the “leggi” function https://www.sarproz.com/groups/sarproz-group/forum/topic/aps-processing-4/
3. using “leggi” you can directly read the original images and perform all what you need without caring about APS…[Read more] -

Dear Dr. Perissin,
I am using the multi-temporal analysis module of SARProz (compiled version). I need raw phase values (before atmospheric correction) for my research. I assume that atmospheric correction is an unavoidable step in the multi-temporal analysis, and I can not skip it. The strategy that has come to my mind to get raw phase values…[Read more]
